I got one minute

I got one minute

And she dances a dance of romance leaving me in a trance

Unable to break free a lost man’s plea

As her grip won’t let me slip from her palm

Try to remain calm but the storm that is brewing is doing damage

Equal to a hurricane and the pain it’s inflicting is insane

My heart wears hints rather vague imprints of blows she dealt

And each is felt more than the other, I shouldn’t bother

But my speech does stutter when I utter the cause of my mental horror

Sleep deprived I am surprised at the homage my emotions made

The songs it played as it made its way through this gilded darkness of dismay

Screaming at the top of his lungs “what else is there to say”

My emotions pushed play to reveal scenes of dreams

I buried in the dark unable to talk, yet hand in hand, we walk

There is nothing to talk about, there is no reason to pout

But every conflict flicks the light switch off our relationship

Cause when we flip we trip into a place full of shit

We lose sight of what we’ve got when we stop

And drop what we’ve built up, a path in which we seem stuck

But nevertheless I love you through all of it

Drama we have seen it, Hate we have felt it

A relationship is intricate, and honestly, I get it

But loving you shouldn’t be so difficult

And that’s how I choose to end my minute
