There is this group of people who have this ability to escape reality
We call them dreamers, and I belong to them and yesterday especially I had this amazing daydream
It was as if I was in a movie and we were in the last scene
We called it the perfect world
And it was the exact same as the one we are in right now
The only difference was people tried to be better
They didn’t try to follow every rule to the letter
Except for one, treat another as you want to be treated
The surplus of food in these rich countries were analysed by mathematicians to decide how much will be given to the poor
History books wont be rewritten anymore
Entertainers would get the salary of teachers and educators the pay of those in the entertainment industry, and we would see justice for creativity, yes justice for creativity
Politicians would be held to their word and if they break a promise then they would see jail time, our leaders will be held responsible
We would take drastic measures to fight global warming
We would actually find differences endearing
In this perfect world of mine, industries didn’t have the power to dictate the rules of society, and you would not be an outcast for being an anomaly, because being different would be the standard
When they so called “emancipated” the slaves they should have made cultural understanding a mandatory weekly training class
Just to prevent the next generation from learning that its ok to hate based on ignorance, matter of fact living in a different country for a year, mandatory, forcing the understanding that your culture isn’t the main one, mandatory, having the news report facts instead of interpretation, mandatory, reinventing the educational system every 30 years, mandatory, it sounds strict but this world was happy
At the end of the movie the credits started to roll and the only name on the screen was yours, in this perfect world everyone understood that they are everything yet they are nothing
In this perfect world I was writing my story as if it was ok to dream
